Pray For Carter...

I would like to ask you all to keep our sweet little grand "Carter" in your prayers. He has been in the hospital since last week with pneumonia & vomiting. Please pray for him to get well and stronger so that he can come home. He has had a really tough start in life and it's just been one thing after another with this little guy. Also, pray for his parents. It's hard when your baby is so sick.
Thank you for your prayers.

I'l be back...

I'm going to be MIA for a little while. My spare time has become less & less over the last few weeks,as you can tell by my posts.
We have four precious foster children now ages 12 months, 12 months, 2 years, and 4 years and they are keeping me extra BUSY. We started back homeschooling ,my business has picked up, we are packing for our family vacation, we are starting the much needed work on our home, and everything else in between. So for a while, I will be using my blogging/free time to work on the above, but I'll be back. You can still get in touch with me through my email mom2five@bellsouth.net or howells7@bellsouth.net  or just leave a comment and blogger will email it for you.
Don't think I'm going to forget you...I'm not:)  I will be stopping by from time to time to visit your blog.

Have a blessed week!

Something about this week...

MeMe's Little Man
"Carter"
I haven't had much time to be online these last two weeks and here are all the reasons why...:)

I've been trying to swap out summer for fall/winter clothes. This GA weather has been crazy. One day it's hot and the next it's cold. Swapping out clothes is a chore when you have a big family.

We've started back to school. I'm excited about this school year. However, it's hard to believe Jacob is now in the 4th grade. Wow!!! Time flies. My son is growing up.

Little Carter turned 3 months!!! He is doing so good. He can coo and smile at you now. He is a big time mommy's boys. He looks just like his mommy too. He is 10 pounds now and growing like a little weed.

I've been taking lots of pictures and editing, editing, and editing...woooo... I've been busy. I'm not complaining though. It's been a blessing.

Our sweet little fosters K & R have left our home *tears forming*.  They have been moved to their grandmother's. It's going to be a good thing and I am happy for them & their family. You just know when it's the right thing and this move was.  However, I miss my babies when they go. You get use to them being around. Yes, I get attached...very attached.  I love all my foster babies.

All of our foster homes in this county are maxed out because we've had so many new kids to come into care. I think mine is the only one with an opening now. Pray for these kids, their birth families, and us foster parents.

While I was dropping off K & R, my case worker came out (foster families have a personal case worker too). She came out and she had that look...that look I know so well:) Then came the words, "Can I talk to you a minute?". Next was, "We've got this little boy that needs....". To make a long story short, we dropped off two and gained another foster child. We now have a little boy who has just turned 4. He has some delays and needs, and I have a loooooong road ahead of me with him, but I have a willing heart. He's been here for two days now, and he has adjusted much better than I ever expected. Please keep this little guy in your prayers. By the way, I'm choosing his blog nickname to be "J.J". He's going to be here for a while and I'm sure you'll be hearing all about our adventures with him:)

When you get a new foster child in your home, you also receive a To-Do list that you have to complete within the first few days of placement.  I've been working on that.
*For J.J we have to have a physial, dental and a developmental assesment.
*He also has to be seen at the health dept.
*He has to meet with his case worker atleast twice.
*He has to meet his CASA.
* We have to plan a visitation schedule.
*We also will need to go shopping for clothing, etc.(Most fosters come with nothing).

We will be getting two more fosters ,but they are only going to be temporary. We will pick them up on Saturday. They are ages 1 & 2. These kids have a foster family wanting to adopt them and we will find out in a couple of weeks if their family will get to. Please pray for this family. After talking with the foster mom, I know that they absolutely adore these children and would be the perfect match for them. The new baby and my foster baby Z are one day apart in age, so I know they are going to enjoy each other.

We are starting on our home. We are painting every room and rearranging them. Actually,I had planned on not taking on any more kids, until we get done with the house, but we will just have to work around the kids.

Well, I think that is about it. Pray for our family. We always stand in need of prayer.

What does the elephant say?

I was playing the "What Does The _____ say?" game with Brookelyn. I asked her, "What does the dog say?" She said, "woof woof". "What does the cat say?" "meow meow". "Brookelyn, what does the pig say?" She said "oink oink".
She was walking around with a toy elephant in her hand so I decided to ask her, "What does the elephant say?" She said, "Roll Tide"....lol I think she has been spending way to much time with her Paw Paw.

Our trip to Babyland General...

(Click pics to enlarge)

For several weeks ,we've been planning to take Bailey to Babyland General. We wanted to take her for her 4th birthday. We decided to go ahead and make the trip, since we would already be over half way there on Saturday (we were visiting Uncle Shuck).

I knew Bailey would love this place. My girls loved it when they were little.
I remember the year that Cabbage Patch kids came out. Do you? I was so excited that Christmas when I got my very first one. I loved dolls but my cabbage patch kids were my all time favorites. Matter of fact, I still have them.

Below are some of the first cabbage patch (cloth) kids or should I say "Little People" because they were named that before they were cabbage patch kids.

Babies,
Babies,
Babies,
and even more babies.
Babies every where.
Over 1000 babies
to choose from.
Oh my!!!!
Bailey had to check them all over.
She could only choose one.
One special baby to bring home & love.

So she looked, and looked, and  looked,
and looked some more.

They had babies with no hair,
babies with tons of hair,
babies with passys,
and babies with teeth.
Yep, some even had teeth.

While Bailey looked, the boys played.

Someone even put our Zach in the cabbage patch.
Now this one is the one I'd choose.
He was coming home with me:)
He was by far the cutest in the whole patch.

The nurse had an announcement!!!!
A new baby was about to be born.
Mother cabbage had dialated 10 leaves,
the crystals started glowing, and the bees
above started buzzing.
A new little one was on it's way!!
The nurse was getting things ready
for the big event.
All of the kids were so excited,
The big question was,
Will it be a girl or boy?
hmmm.....
It had lots of hair!!!
And the nurse made the big announcement,
"It's a boy!".
Then she said, "He needs a name".
Chance Lee would be his name.
(The visitors got to choose it)

The nurse weighed him & got him ready to be passed around:)
After looking low & high
and high & low.
Bailey chose her very own special baby.
She chose a little boy one.

The nurse set down with Bailey & Uncle Brent to fill out the birth certificate. Bailey got to choose his name. She named her special baby, "Zakary Bailey".
One happy little girl.

Honestly, I don't know who had more fun..maybe Bailey, maybe Jacob, or was it Zach, perhaps Uncle Brent, or maybe me. Probably me...lol We all had fun. It is a girly kind of place ,but I think the boys enjoyed watching Bailey or maybe it was me they were watching...lol That place makes the kid come out in you. However, I believe It's okay to act like a kid sometimes:)

I absolutely can't wait until we go back again. We are already planning our next trip. We want to take Brookelyn when she's a wee bit older.

I love Babyland General. It always brings back sweet memories of when I was little & when my girls were little. They loved that place too.

If you are ever in GA and you have a little girl who loves babies, then this is a must visit place. It is the sweetest toy place ever.

We've been on the go...

We've been on the go.......
Last Friday, we took the lil Peanuts to the rodeo. It was a first for Z,K,and R. Z & K LOVED it!!! R not so much. Bailey was worried about the clowns, but I think she got over her fear Friday and realized that clowns can be really funny.

The kids trying to catch a calf.

On Saturday, we got invited by Uncle Shuck to come up to Dawsonville for the day. He invited all of our foster families. So early Saturday, we packed up our suitcases and headed North:)

Hubby & Bay

Yes, that's me in the pic below
and yes I've gained 10 pounds.
No ,I'm not happy about that,
but I'm working on it now:)

Yes, I married a BIG kid:)

Hubby told her to look sad...she tried
but it's hard to look sad when you're having fun:)

Their goats climb towers.

roasting marshmallows

At the end of the day, the kids enjoyed hanging out by the bonfire roasting marshmallows.
We went ahead and got a room in Dawsonville and rested up for the night. We headed up further North on Sunday to Cleveland GA. We visited the Babyland General...home of the cabbage patch kids & Xavier Roberts. I'll share more about it in my next post:)
It was a GREAT weekend!!! The kids had a blast and we did too.
