Flashback Friday

For flashback Friday I decided to
share my youngest daughter "Ashley". Ashley was born in August of 93.
She was 6 lbs & 10 ozs.
She came into the world known as baby "A"
because she had a twin brother who was born just after her.
She came home from the hospital without a name
because we had a tough time agreeing on a name for her.
Every name I liked Brent & the rest of the family didn't.
So on day #2 of being home,
My hubby & mom named her...really.
However, I liked her named.
Mom chose "Ashley"
and hubby chose "Lea".
Lea Ashley it would be!!! But we call her "Ashley".
She is a big time Mama's girl and my only brown eyed child:)
The picture below is Ashley with her twin brother Jon.
My twins are as different as night & day. Ashley is brown eyed & Jon is green eyed. Ashley is left handed and Jon is right. And of course ones a girl & ones a boy:) But believe it or not people use to ask me all the time if they were identical...lol
A boy & girl can never be identical:)
Ashley caught her 1st fish!!!

I love you Miss Ashley!
You will ALWAYS be my baby girl:)

Flash Back Friday

Here is my
"Flash Back Friday"
For this Friday, I decided to share my
second born daughter "Katie" with you.
God blessed Hubby and I with a precious little girl on 02-02-92.
Our beautiful daughter Katie Danyelle was born.
She was a healthy little 6 pound 1 oz baby.
Katie was one of the sweetest babies I've ever known.
She was always content, seldom cried, and was ALWAYS happy.
She was also very shy...much different than
the out going Katie she is today.
As a lil girl, you could hand her a baby doll
and she would play all day long all by herself.
She has grew from that wee tiny baby to a beautiful
young lady inside & out.
She is a precious gift to our family.

Back then we didn't have digital cameras...so pics aren't nearly as good.

Flash Back Friday

Today for Flash Back Friday I decided to share another of the pics I found at Mom's the other day. It is a pic that was taken on Stone Mountain GA. It is me with my 2 brothers Robby & Bryan. I remember this day just like it was yesterday:) I chased Bryan all over that mountain. It brought back precious memories. Oh how I miss my big brother Robby, but he has gone home to Heaven now and one day I'll be with him again!

Flash Back Friday

Here is my
"Flash Back Friday"
For this Friday I decided to share my first born baby with you.
God blessed Hubby and I with a precious little girl on Dec 2, 1989.
Our beautiful daughter Anna Brooke was born.
She was a wee tiny little 5 pound 14 oz baby.
The day she was born was one of the happiest days of my life. I thought she was the most beautiful child I'd ever seen,and she was. She was perfect in every single way and we were the proudest parents on earth.
Now my sweet baby girl is going to have a sweet baby of her own!
My first grandbaby is due Feb 1st.

I hope you enjoy these flashes from the past.
She was our pride and joy!

She got her daddy's dimple!

And her daddy's blue eyes!
Her mama's long fingers and height.
She was so adorable .

She was daddy's little girl from the start.

And my princess

She stole our hearts at first sight

She had us wrapped around her finger...and she still does today.

All babies are special, but there is something extra special about a firstborn.

Flash Back Friday

I decided to share the twins this week
since they have a birthday coming up next week!
The day I had my twins... I was all tummy.
I only went 4 days early
and gained exactly 40 pounds.
8/4/1993
Baby"A"-Ashley was 6lbs & 10ozs
Baby"B"-Jonathan was 5lbs & 12ozs
They were a "V" birth and came 26 minutes apart
and after 26 hours of labor...but it was worth it!
This was the hospital pic ...which I didn't really like.
Do these ever turn out cute????

Anna loved the twins!

They loved being side by side even outside my tummy:)

They were sooooooo cute together!!!

These were taken before digital cameras...boy I wish I had a digital back then.

They had a sweet bond that multiplies share.

Ashley was always taller and bigger until the teen years

And this is my wonderful boy today. Wow! How time flies.

And this is my sweet girl:)
If I had my way I'd go back and raise my kids again.
These are sweet memories from some of the greatest days of my life:)

This is a cute poem I had about the twins on our family site.

~~~Two To Love~~~
There's two to wash, there's two to dry,
There's two who argue, there's two who cry.
One's in the mud having a ball,
The other holds a crayon, another marked wall.
Some days seem endless, my patience grows thin.
Why was I chosen to be a mother of twins?
The answer comes clear at the end of each day,
As I tuck them in bed and to myself say,
There's two to kiss, there's two to hug,
And best of all, there's two to love!
~~~~~

I plan to add more pics of these two over the next few days

and share what it has been like being the mom of twins.
