We made it to summer break...

Finally, summer break is here! School ended last Friday and summer officially started for us! So far we haven't made any summer plans at all. Honestly, some quiet laid back days at home would be fine with me. During the school year we are always so busy and rushed. I'm glad we finally have some time to slow it down a little.

Our sweet Zachary got an end of the year math and reading award! He also got an outstanding behavior award! This kid sure makes his mama proud! He is such a great kid! He works hard every day and recently got chosen for a character award by his teacher for perseverance because he never gives up! He has such a BIG heart! Blaze's teacher told me that it amazes her the heart that Zachary has. He always stops doing whatever he's doing to acknowledge Blaze. He loves his little brother dearly. He cares so much and I just love that about him. I don't know how I got so blessed to be HIS mom!

Our little Blaze graduated kindergarten! It's so amazing how time flies. He got the sweet gummy bear award from his teacher because she said that he gives and receives the most hugs every day at school. I love that they love my sweet baby! He has enjoyed school so much! I'm so proud of the progress he has made this year!

Blaze's ball season also came to an end this week. He played for the sweetest team and had two of the best coaches in the world. They poured their hearts into these little people. When they asked me to consider letting Blaze play, I thought it would just be a waste of time because Blaze can't hear or see that well and he still has a hard time running but we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that we did! He enjoyed it so much and made lots of new friends! He will start back playing in the fall!

We also registered our foster baby for 3 year old prek! She will start school when the boys start back. She will be in the same school as the boys. She will have the same prek teacher that Blaze had.  I think it will do her good! She still has a hard time talking and understanding, so she will get extra therapy from the school. She is going to go 3 days a week because she has private therapies the other two days. I'm so excited for her!

Well, I'm out of time. I've got to run. More updates coming soon!

Have a blessed day!

My walking buddies...

L (our foster) and Ada Grace "Tiny"

Today me and the girls went and walked, while the boys were at school. I enjoy this time with them so much. I love listening to them talk and answering Tiny's 1000 questions a day. She is so curious and wants to know about everything. She is so much and so sweet!

Miss L was recently diagnosed with apraxia of speech. She has struggled with speech despite being involved in therapy since she was 5 months old. I knew something was just not right, especially when Tiny girl can talk your ears off and L still struggles to put 2 words together. We took her to the pediatrician and she felt that was probably what we were dealing with. We then took her to see her neurologist and she agreed it's apraxia. Hopefully now we will better know how to work with her so that one day she can talk our ears off and ask me thousands of questions daily.

As far as L's case, I have no idea what is going on her case, It's been 3 years and we still have no idea how this case will end. I'm so over it. Regardless, I am ready for the decision. If they do take her, I know Tiny girl sure is going to miss her buddy. But, I'm ready to be done fostering. I want to have a normal life without the constant rollercoaster ride that foster care adds to your life. We are done fostering as soon as this case is complete.
