They are back!!!!

It's true!!! My favorite pop tart is back!!!!! I know that sounds like a kid & I became one today when I found it at walmart. It was setting up there upon the shelf right next to the new sugar cookie and hot chocolate & marshmallow flavored pop tarts.I haven't tried the other two, but I know about my pumpkin pie and it's amazing. I don't normally like pop tarts, but these I LOVE!!! If you like pumpkin pie or sweet potatoes then you've just gotta try it.

We shall name you...

We have finally decided & agreed on a name for our baby. In case you are confused, we are adopting our foster son BB. The parents surrendered their rights last Tuesday at court. We have decided to name our precious boy "Joshua". We will announce his middle name later, but most likely we will keep  part of his birth name and make that his middle name.

It's beginning to look a lot like Fall...

It's beginning to look like Fall here in our neck of the woods. With our warm days and cool nights. The kids are enjoying these last few days of warm air because all to soon these days will give way to cold days & freezing nights.

Here is the view of our front yard this morning. Many of the leaves have already fallen.

Something wonderful happens every time you bring kids & leaves together. Something about it makes *Happy* kids even happier:) And is there really any better sound in the world than a giggling kid? I think not.

We also unplugged baby girl (our nurse was here)
and took her outside to play.
She loved every minute of it.

Happy Fall to one & all!!!!!
From,
The Happy Howell Family

Oh baby what's your name????

I never dreamed that My hubby & I would be fussing over baby names. I truly believed our baby naming days were over...lol I never dreamed that we would be new parents again. Wow! I'm still in shock. Now, we must name our little bundle of joy and at the rate we are going we won't have it done before he is grown...lol. There are just so many names and we can't agree on anything.. He likes this. I like that. Oh what will we name our baby boy?
Should we keep part of his original name? Should we decide all by ourselves? Should we let our kids decide (like we did with Jacob Noah)? Will we take a family vote since everything we ever do is a family event. Should we draw a name from a hat? Or should we let my mom name this one, because she would LOVE to (She named Ashley)? She's already called me *twice* today with baby names.
My mother-in-law wants us to completely change his name, because of his odd name. His birth parents gave him an off the wall name. The birth parents couldn't agree on names, so mom chose the first name & dad chose the middle and then to top it off the last name is just as weird. He has a name that no one could ever forget. His birth mom asked me at court if I was going to change his name and I told her we are for sure going to change the middle name and her next words were "Thank You!". She hates his middle name.
His  birth name sounds like one of those names the celebrities name their kids or like a name from a movie screen. BTW, why do celebrities always name their kids such odd names? Don't they know those kids have to live with their names????
Oh baby, what shall we name you? Maybe perfect, because to us that's exactly what you are:)

Simple minded but thankful...

Yes, they are all mine. All these beautiful wonderful people that you see on my blog are mine. My family,my hubby, my children, my friends, my life. I am soooo thankful for each & every one. God has truly blessed me.

When I was young I wanted to know my family. I knew most of my mom's side of the family, but for the most part our family consisted of 7 people. (My mom, step-dad daddy, 2 brothers, nanny, uncle, and me). I had no first cousins to grow up with. I had 2nd & so on cousins, but we weren't really close to any of them and they were scattered about. We saw them from time to time (family reunions, deaths, etc), but not often.

As for my real dad, I didn't know him until I was a teen. Some of his family had no idea he even had kids. Sad. I know. I had lots of first cousins on his side, but I didn't know any of them or any of my uncles or aunts. So all of my life I felt like I was cheated and I was. I had only a one sided family. It's ok now, I am much older. It doesn't bother me like it use to.  I had a selfish parent (dad) who did not care about us as much as he did himself. Sometimes I wonder what life would have been like if my dad would have loved us & taken care of us. What would it have been like to know my uncles? What would it have been like to love my aunts? What would it have been like to play with my cousins and grow up together? How fun it would have been to know & love both sides of my family. How sad it is that I didn't have that.

Well, I knew way back then that I would grow up & have a great big family. I did! I pictured myself with a cute little house and three little kids. Wow! I never imagined my life would turn out like this. God blessed me above anything my simple mind could have ever imagined. Why? I don't know. I don't deserve it.

However, you probably won't find another person on earth that loves their family more than I do or a person that thanks God as much as I do for it.  They are precious to me. I love my family with all my heart. The one I created with my hubby & the extras that God just threw in as a bonus. Rich is the man that has his quiver full. That's what the Bible says. Rich indeed I am. Thank you Lord for your blessings on us.
