I hope you dance...

Baby, I hope you choose to dance.

I Hope You Dance By Leann Womack
__________________________________________

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
DANCE
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
DANCE
I hope you dance
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
DANCE
I hope you dance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
DANCE
I hope you dance

Brookelyn Shae,
I love you sweet girl.
Thank you for making my heart skip a beat
everytime I see your beautiful little face
or hear your precious little voice.
When I hear, "Hey MeMe!" and
"sooooo much"
(what she's says after she says "wuv you").
It melts my heart.
I never knew being a meme would bring
such joy to my life.
This is blessed.

Down on the Pond...

Fishing with Uncle Brent.

The weather was beautiful. It was a perfect day for fishing on the pond. We loaded up the kiddos, the poles, some stinky worms, and headed out to the pasture for some Saturday fishing.

Our lil man is a pro at fishing:)
He is for sure an outdoors kind of kid.

The big LITTLE fish were biting.
Bailey loves fishing ,but she
doesn't like touching the fish...lol
Jacob was happy to handle that part for her.

She caught this one without any help at all.
Way to go Bailey!!!

Then it was K's turn!
She is sure turning into an
Uncle Brent's girl:)
Z just wanted to jump in
and would have if
we would have let him...lol

It was just a good day!

Thank you Lord for blessing us
 with another wonderful day!

Ashley's on the go!!!

Ashley got her very first car yesterday! I am so very excited for her and I'm so very proud of her.

This year has been a difficult year for us. After loosing two of the people I love most in the world (My brother & grandmother) ,my hubby lost his job. It felt like my world was turned upside down. It was just a devastating time for us. After the loss of our main income, things had to get tight. It meant we had to work harder at using our money & savings wisely. It meant our children could not depend on us for the extra things or extra money. The kids amazed us by stepping up. All of them started working and paying their own way & bills (phone, gas, etc). This was so different from what they were use to and honestly it made me very sad ,because they are my kids and I wanted to take care of them.

Ashley was driving around in my old mini van. She didn't complain ,but I know she felt odd being a teen driving a mini van. Plus everyone picked at her about it. It was old, loud, and run down. I was sad for her. I wanted her to have a car of her own. After all ,we had bought both of her sisters cars, but we couldn't do the same for her. So instead of feeling sorry for herself, she started working and saving, and saving, and saving. Yesterday, she paid cash and purchased her very own car. I'm so happy & so proud of her.

God blessed her with this car. The man dropped his price $1200 for it. It was meant to be Ashley's and no one could ever be more thankful than she is. God is good!  I pray that He will protect her every time she takes the wheel. Thank you Lord for your blessings on us.

Fun at the fountains...

Baby R wasn't to sure about
 the water fountains.

But Brookelyn Shae LOVED it!!!!
She's been visiting it ever since she was
a tiny baby, so she knew how it worked:)

Our silly baby.
I LOVE her HAPPY-Go-Lucky
personality...
I hope that never changes.

Our 3 fosters.
Left to right
"R", "K", and "Z"

Katie tried to get Z to walk through the fountains.
He pulled back as hard as he could with his
short little legs. After a few minutes, he did finally
crawl out a little ways:)
Normally, he is out going & not scared of anything.

Brookelyn tried to talk "K" into playing
with her in the fountains, but she refused:)

Next Brookelyn tried to get "R" to play...lol
R liked watching them better from the side lines.

Out in the pasture...

Yesterday, we took the babies to see the horses. Brookelyn loves animals, especially horses. She calls them "borseys"(yes with a B). She always begs Katie to show her pics of her horses, so today we took them to the pasture to see them in person. Brookelyn was just amazed. She had so much fun. Our fosters K & R wasn't so thrilled about the horses, but little Z loved them and I think they liked him too:) It's like the horses knew they were babies and they were so interested in them.

Can't you just see it in her eyes?

I can't wait until it's rodeo time.
I hope to be able to Brookelyn to some of
our local rodeos.
