Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Thoughts-
We would never be able to carry around all the material possessions we have come to acquire in our lifetime. It would be impossible. Yet this is what we do with our emotions, when we just refuse to let go of yesterday's mistakes and hurts. Then to add to an already heavy load, we take on the worries of tomorrow. God does not intend for us to carry such a heavy load. Jesus said in Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. He desires to fill us with joy and peace regardless of what our day holds. His love, joy and perfect peace, are available to us today in the midst of whatever we may be experiencing. We insist on carrying the extra baggage and wonder why we can't receive a break through, and why we continue to be trapped in a cycle of hopelessness. Where is our joy and our peace? There is simply no room for it, with all the other stuff we are dragging around with us. Jesus desires to take our fear, worry, disappointments, our past, and all that would hinder us from experiencing his perfect peace in the midst of any circumstance. We just need to be determined to let go of it, and allow Him the opportunity to step in and carry it for us.

ReplyDeleteSandy,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! We just have to remind ourselves not to grow impatient once we cast our worries and burdens on God to take them back when He isn't working fast enough for us.
We have to trust in Him that He will handle it all just like our earthly fathers would if they asked.

That's right. I wrote a similiar post on this awhile back. I haven't heard from you lately, so I'm just checking in.
