30 Days Of Thankful...

Just catching up.
30 Days of Thankful Days #17 and #18

On Day #17 On Nov 17, our church family held a baby shower for Katie.  I am thankful for everything that was done for her. Baby things can cost so much and it takes a lot to take care of a baby and that's what makes baby showers so awesome! She now is set & ready with everything she needs. God has provided. He is good!!!!!

Today for day #18, I am thankful for this beautiful Sunday morning. I'm looking forward to a good Sunday morning service and then we have family day @ my mom's. I love Sundays and I am thankful to have a day set aside for church and family. The two things I love the most.

30 Days Of Thankful Day #16
Today, I am thankful for this beautiful fall day. I look out my window and I see God's masterpiece in the colors of the trees and the sun shining. I am thankful to live where we do and to be surrounded by a community that we love and that loves us back. I am thankful that my little corner of the world is located on a little piece of the USA. We are still a blessed nation UNDER GOD! Yep, that's what I'm thankful for today:) We just have so much to be thankful for. My heart is full today. Praise be to the Lord because He is good.

So special to me...

HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD

A meeting was held quite far from Earth!
It's time again for another birth.
Said the Angels to the LORD above,
This Special Child will need much love.

His progress may be very slow,
Accomplishments he may not show.
And he'll require extra care
From the folks he meets down there.

He may not run or laugh or play,
His thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways he won't adapt,
And he'll be known as handicapped.

So let's be careful where he's sent,
We want his life to be content.
Please LORD, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.

They will not realize right away
The leading role they're asked to play,
But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.

And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for their gift from Heaven.
Their precious charge, so meek and mild,
Is HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD.

30 Days Of Thankful Day #15
Today, I am thankful for our sweet little dog "mama". She came up as a bashful stray and I called the county to pick her up asap, but before they got here we fell in love with her. She would probably easily win the ugliest dog award, but she would take the world's record for the sweetest dog ever. She adores children and if you are going to make it around here you've got to like kids. She tries to love us to death and at times she gets annoying, but she has been a very loyal member of our family. We love our little "mama" dog:)

Today I am thankful that my hubby was blessed with a new job this year. I'm not thankful that he has to be away from us sometimes for weeks, but I am thankful that he has plenty of work and that it provides for our needs.
My hubby works hard every day and I am so thankful for all he does for our family.

30 days Of Thankful...

30 Days Of Thankful Day #12
Today, I am thankful for health. As I watch my little foster daughter struggle with breathing. I think how blessed I am to be able to breathe. I don't even think about it because it comes so easily for me.
 I watch her struggle to use her hands and I watch as her tiny legs struggle to hold her up as she tries to walk in her walker. It makes me sad. I am so blessed to be able to jump up and run. I'm blessed to be able to pick up things with my hands. She struggles to pick up something as small as a chip and then she has to pull it to her mouth. It would only take me a second to put a chip in my mouth. It can take her 10 minutes or longer but she keeps on until she gets it.
I am so fortunate to be healthy. Some are not so fortunate.
Back in 2002, the doctors didn't know if I'd live or if I did they didn't know how messed up I'd be after I came down with meningitis. Well,God healed me COMPLETELY. I know it was because He wasn't done with me yet. He still had things for me to do or He would have taken me on Home. I'm thankful that God allowed me to continue on because I love being about my Father's business. He died for me & I'm doing my best to live every single day for HIM!!! Thank you Lord for restoring my health and giving me a second chance to do your will.

30 Days Of Thankful...

30 Days of Thankful Day #11
Today I am thankful for my church. When I married Brent I left my church and joined his. They welcomed me as if I had always went there. That was over 20 years ago and we are still going strong. We've raised our family up  in that church.  I love that place & our church family. They are like family to me and have been there when at times my real family wasn't. I am blessed every time I walk in that place.

 People don't realize what a privilege we have here in America to go to church & to worship God. Some places don't have that. In some countries people walk for miles just to hear about Jesus and yet we have people here that won't even bother to go or they only go for activities like Easter or Christmas. I want to stand before God and be found faithful to the house of the Lord ,because that's what God expects from us. (Hebrews 10:19). I just don't understand people who claim to have a relationship with Christ, but yet never attend church. Something is just wrong with that. Sorry. That's just my thoughts.

Thank you Lord for my church and our church family. I am blessed to be a part of such a special place.

30 Days Of Thankful Day #10
Today, I am thankful for my home. It's nothing fancy. It's an old house that's been well used. It's nothing to look at. It's just a simple modest little house, but it's home, my home, and I am so very thankful for it. Thank you Lord for blessing us with a place of our own.

30 Days Of Thankful...

30 Days Of Thankful Day #9
(Yes I'm behind)
Today I want  to thank God for our nurses. They come to my home every day to help take care of baby girl. When we got Bry I wasn't scared of taking care of her. I had already prayed about it and God had given me peace with that. I wasn't even scared of all of her special needs, her 24/7 care, her numerous medicines, or even all the trips to the hospital. Those things weren't the part I dreaded. It was having to share my home & life with complete strangers (nurses) that bothered me most. My first few days at home were so stressful that I had almost decided to turn Bry over to the state. I'm sad to say that ,but it did cross my mind ,because it was just that hard.

One Wednesday night, in the wee hours of the morning, and after being up for several days straight, I just broke down. I was laying in Bry's room and she was getting sick again (struggling to breathe & running a fever) I just knew we were headed back into the hospital and I dreaded it. I hate that place. So I packed her bags and laid in her room and cried and cried and cried.  I laid there waiting on the nurse to arrive and just poured my heart out to God. I asked God why we were going through that again. I had worked so hard to keep Brylee home. I prayed about Brylee 3 months before we got her. I prayed one time about it and left it in God's hands. I asked God that if it was HIS WILL for Brylee to be with us that He would make a way, but if not that He wouldn't allow it to come to pass. It was a long legal process for her come here and God had made a way against all the odds. So I couldn't understand why God would bring her here & then it have to be so hard. That night my life changed. God sent me an angel of a nurse. I had never met her. She walked in my home and was so different than the other three nurses I had met. She basically told me to stop worrying and that everything was going to be alright. She came in, started working on Brylee and Brylee turned around almost instantly. She was healed. I'm not kidding. She was healed. I know it was God. He showed up through the hands of that nurse that night. That nurse is now our nurse two days a week and she has changed my life. She has taught me so much.

Some of the nurses have been hard to deal with. Who am I kidding here?!?! I have had some that have drove me absolutely nuts. I've had some that should have never, ever, ever been nurses. I would stay gone away from home on the days I had those because it was just that bad. Well, needless to say, I had to have some removed from Bry's case, and now I have the best nurses ever!!!!

I had one of my nurses call me last Monday, because she knew I had to go to Atlanta on Wednesday and I was nervous about it. I'm scared of Atlanta. I don't like making those trips alone. She called me and said, "Baby, don't you worry about Wednesday. I'm coming over there and I'm going with you to Atlanta and I've already got dinner covered that day, because I know your day will be so busy". How sweet is that? She is an older lady, old enough to be my mom, but she makes me think of my nanny so much. It's like having my nanny here on the day she comes. I just love her.

That same nurse saved my house from burning on Thursday. I had a candle lite on my mantel that exploded (for no reason) and it caught my mantel on fire and made a few burn marks on my carpet. She saw my mantel on fire and she put it out. In the process she burned her hand and  foot. Thank God she is ok and so is the kids & my home.

I have 4 wonderful nurses now that Brylee loves and I absolutely adore. They take great care of our baby and we truly appreciate all they do. They make us laugh, cheer us on, lift us up, pray for us constantly, and help us in more ways than you can even imagine. We are blessed. My days are now so much nicer and my nurses have become like family. Thank you Lord for these women you have sent our way. Thank you for what they do & the kindness they show us every day. Thank you for blessing us with them.

30 Days Of Thankful...

30 Days Of Thankful Day #8
Today I want to thank God for my in-laws. God has given me a wonderful Father-in-law. He is the hardest working & smartest man I know. He has taught his son (my hubby) very well and I see my FIL in the things my hubby does and I am thankful for that. He raised his boys in church and that was something very important to me when I was looking for a mate. My father-in-law has always been a good example for his family. I am blessed to be his daughter-in-law.

I am thankful for my mother-in-law. She always encourages us nomatter what we do. She always reminds us that she is praying for us. That means a lot to me. She has been a great grandmother to my children and a great foster grandmother to our foster children and I am sooooo thankful for that. I am blessed to be her daugher-in-law.

30 Days Of Thankful...

30 Days Of Thankful Day #7
Today I am thankful for my foster kids. They have forever changed who I am and how I view & treat life. I have been touched by some of the sweetest kids ever and some of the toughest. They have been through things that most of us couldn't even imagine. They are survivors. They come to me tattered, scarred,and  neglected.. My goal is to teach them what life should be like and to love them through whatever it is that brought them to me.
 Fostering is by far one of the hardest things I've ever done but yet most rewarding. Thank you Lord for each of these children and for what they've added to my life.

I love my Foster Kids.

Thirty Days Of Thankful Day #6
Today I am thankful for my mom & dad. I am thankful that I have ALWAYS had a GREAT relationship with my parents. Honestly, I can't remember a time when we didn't get along. I love my parents and I know without a doubt that they love me too. We've been through a lot together after the loss of my brothers, but we became closer & stronger for it. We've also learned to never ever take each other for granted, because tomorrow isn't promised.

Thank you Lord for blessing me
with the parents I have.
I am BLESSED!.

30 Days Of Thankful...

First off, I am soooooo thankful to be back online. I never really realized just how much I depend on the internet. Without it I wasn't able to mapquest directions to Baby girl's new doctor today (my GPS couldn't pick it up). Jacob had to take a day and a half off of school because we couldn't connect and his school is online. I had an over due bill because I couldn't pay online like I normally do. Plus, I needed to research some things and wasn't able. Needless to say, life without the net is hard.

Now, here is my next
30 Days Of Thankful  Day #4 & #5
I'm catching up.

For Day #4
I am thankful for my son-in-laws. I am thankful that Anna & Katie married good godly guys. I'm glad that they are in church every Sunday with their families. I am thankful that they take great care of my girls. I know without a doubt that they love my daughters. And guess what?!?! They act like they love their mother-in-law too...hehehe  I'm so thankful for Corey & Dylan, I really am.

For Day #5
I am thankful for my precious ,precious ,precious, precious angels. My grandbabies. The grandest kids on earth(It's a meme thing). I can't even begin to tell you just how much I adore my grandchildren. They make my heart skip beats. They make me bite my lip(I'm not kidding). I can't kiss or hug them enough. They are the bestest...lol MeMe loves Brookelyn Shae, Christian Carter, Adalyn Grace and even our soon-to-be grand baby Kaylan Elane. They are like little pieces of heaven here on earth. What a gift from God they are. Thank you Lord for our angels.

God is just soooooo good!!!! Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

I am thankful for my gifts from above. My children. They are the light of my life. They have brought soooo much joy to me. I love my babies Samantha, Anna, Katie, Ashley, Jon, Jacob,and Joshua.

Joshua's (BB)  parents had until yesterday to pull their surrenders and they didn't. So we will be  adopting him!!!!!!  We are so excited!!!

I probably won't be online again for a few days because my computer is messed up...grrrr I  came to mom's to get online today.

Also, please pray for my hubby and son-in-law Dylan they are on their way to New York to help with clean-up. It's 900 miles from home. He may be there for a month. I miss my hubby. It's hard without him here.

30 Days Of Thankful day #2
~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I am thankful for my hubby "Brent". He & I married  VERY young and against all of the odds we've made it! We've been married over 20 years now and have had the joy of raising a beautiful family. God has really blessed our family and home.
My hubby works hard and provides for all of our needs. He works hard so that I can stay home & take care of our family & home. I am thankful for that. That was something we both felt was important and although at times it's been tough, God provided a way.
I love my hubby and I know without a doubt that he loves me too. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a soul mate. I just pray that we have many many more years together.
Thirty Days Of Thankful #1...
Day #1 of the Thirty Days Of Thankful!
~~~~~~~~~
Today I am thankful for what Jesus has done in my life.
In 1980, at a little church called Calvary
I met the Savior.
Jesus Christ passed by my way.
He spoke to me that day
and I have NEVER been the same.
He took a sinner like me
and washed away my dirty sins.
He cast my sins far away
and made me new.
He forgave me that day when I asked Him to.
Not because I deserved it.
I don't.
I'm just a sinner.
A sinner
saved by GRACE.
Although, I have failed him many times,
He has NEVER failed me.
He is by far the very best thing that
has ever happened to me.
Thank you Lord
for what you've done in my life.
Because He died for me,
I'm trying my best to live for HIM.

MeMe's girls...

I snuck these off of Anna & Katie's facebooks.
Brookelyn Shae dressed up like a kitty for Halloween
and Addy Grace was a cheerleader.
I love my baby girls.
