Blessed...

Sometimes I wonder why God chose to bless me with the people I have in my life. They bring me so much joy and happiness. I just can't thank God enough. He has been so good to me.

I have been showered with love today. My heart is just full. I wish I could put in words what I feel right now. I am blessed.

Here are a few pictures from today...
(Jacob's lunch)
He loved it.
Soup with PBJs
and a cookie cake:)
This little face is what woke me up this morning. She told me "Happy Valentine's Day" first thing. It was so precious. She tried so hard to say ,"valentine's". I love this little girl with all my heart.

Here are more pics of my angel baby...

It's been a really sweet day.

Sooooo BIG...

Somebody is getting so
 big...tooooo fast.

She wants to do things by herself now...
and so we've been letting her...some.
"MISS INDEPENDENT"
When she likes something she says,
"Yum Yum".

But sometimes it gets pretty messy...

Yep, she's getting BIG...
tooooo fast:)
I love this age!

Last weekend...

I am behind on here,so I'll be posting some weekend stuff.  I have a few minutes ,so I figured I'd jump on my blog and upload a few pics. My calm Friday night turned into a busy, but super fun Saturday and Sunday and a weekend full of our past fosters.

Do you remember this kid????
It's Amberly! Amberly's mom called me Friday and told me that Amberly really wanted to come and see us ,because she had been missing us and asking for us. I told her that it would be fine. She could come when Hubby picked up Trinton (he comes every other weekend now)...so she did. It was so good seeing her. I haven't gotten her in several weeks, because honestly I have been so VERY busy. Amberly has really grew up a lot. She is getting so tall. She is about to turn 4. Can you believe that? I know some of you may remember when we first got her. She had the nickname of "Ambs" on my blog. She was 14 months old when she came to live with us and she was a handful ,but a precious handful. She kept me soooooo busy and I don't think she ever slept. Now, she is so quiet and easy going. I took her out to eat and she set like a little lady and ordered her own food. She is precious. I promised her that I would come and get her at least once a month, maybe more.

We also went and picked up our little Jelly Bean "Shelbi". She turned a year old last week. I can't believe it really has been a year already. We couldn't wait to get there to get her. When we opened the door at her house, she looked up and saw us and smiled the biggest smile ever.
We took her to church with us on Sunday and then we hung out at Anna's and had lunch and played until it was time to take her home. We had a GREAT time.
Here are a few more pics from the weekend...

Best of friends...
together again:)
Little Brookelyn was sleepy.

Shelbi hasn't quite got the hang of walking yet ,but she is really trying hard. She really wants to walk. Her doctor said considering she was a preemie and also hospitalized for 3 months, that we should expect her to be about 4 months behind other babies her age. However, I think she is doing great. I can't really tell any delay except in growth. She is still less than 5% on the charts and weighs 15 pounds.

Well, that's my weekend in a nut shell:)

Little water baby...

Our little water baby.

This girl is like her MeMe...
she loves taking long baths:)
She will stay in until she is as
wrinkled as a prune.

This picture cracks me up.

Sticky fingers are sweet...

I I love having breakfast with Brookelyn. This littl girl enjoys her meals...fully. Her favorite is cinnamon french toast sticks. I add a tiny bit of syrup and she becomes one VERY happy kid.

Good morning to all of my bloggy buddies!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend:)

Enjoying the evening...

Wow! It's really, really, really quiet here right now. This is so rare. I almost don't know what to do with myself. Everyone is out and about ,but me. I really just didn't want to get out in all this messy wet rain. Plus it's just so cold. I don't like being cold at all.

I'm just setting here waiting on Penny's to deliver some hot wings and then I'm going to take a long hot bath. It's just me and precious little Z at home. We are enjoying this time. As I type, he is beside me playing on his little play gym quilt. He acts shocked that it is so quiet and that no one is kissing all over him:) He actually is probably happy to be left alone and put down ,because we all tend to hold him constantly. He is just so chubby and mushy that we can't help ourselves. He is such a cuddly and smiley baby. His name should have been precious because that's who he is:)

Yes, I'm enjoying myself. I'm enjoying it while it lasts. Shortly the doors will burst open with loud giggly and happy children. It's coming...soon. Hubby & Jacob have gone to get Trinton and Amberly(past fosters). They are coming to spend the weekend with us. Oh ,how I love those kids. But for the moment it is quiet and calm and I am enjoying every single second of it. What a wonderful way to end my long stress filled day.
Have a great night everyone!

Just Today...

Just Today...Feb 4th
Out side my window... It is raining.
The time is... 2:55 PM
Today I feel...Blessed. Although this day has been trying and VERY stressful ,it has still been a day full of blessings. Days filled with little people are my favorite kind of days:)
I am thinking... about canceling Girl's Night Out because the weather is just so messy. I don't like driving in rain.
At the moment I am thankful...that I get to spend all day tomorrow with Brookelyn. It's going to be a Brookelyn & MeMe kind of day. I keep Brookelyn a couple of days each week ,but usually I have extra kids here, so my time with just Brookelyn in limited.  I am excited about my day ahead with my wee little GRANDbaby:)
I am going...to walk next door to Tara's later.
I am wearing...jeans and a red hoodie
I wish...you could have seen Brookelyn & her little friend Hailey. They have been glued to the windows watching Red & Martha (our chickens). They both get so excited...it's just precious. Little kids get so excited about the smallest things...to bad that adults seem to loose that.
I am working on...My "One Blessed MeMe Blog". I am trying to use a solid background with only a header  instead of a background like I have on this blog. However, I'm having no luck...grrrr Do any of you know where I can find an html code? I want my header to stretch all the way across the top of my blog instead of just centered. I want the the side bar to be on the right side. I want my post area to be larger than it is on this blog,so that I can add larger pics. Any help would be so VERY appreciated.
I am hoping...to get my other blog up and running again very soon.
I am hearing...Jon playing chase around the bar with Brookelyn. She loves her Uncle Jon. He always plays chase and she LOVES to be chased. When you catch her she just laughs and laughs.
Around the house...I give up...the kids are playing hard. I will try to get it back in order tomorrow.
I bet you didn't know...hmmmmmmm

As for Today.... rain rain go away...winter winter go away. We are so ready for some sunny Spring days.
As for tonight...not sure yet what I have planned. I may just set home and work on my blog.
As for the weekend...Tomorrow is Brookelyn Shae's day! and then Sunday we plan to attend church and have a family day (dinner + us &the kids :).
My picture thought for today...she loves her dolls. It's so precious. She will kiss them and rock them back and forth. I love watching her play with her babies. I love how she loves them.

Daily Duties are daily joys,
because they are something
which God gives us to offer unto
Him,to do our very best
in acknowledgement of His love.

Uh Oh!! My house got rolled!!!

Brookelyn has discovered toilet paper.
She rolled and rolled and rolled.
Who would have ever thought
that toilet paper could be so fun?
Hmmm....maybe next Christmas & birthday
we will just buy her toilet paper
 instead of toys.
...then she ran to Uncle Jon to save
her ...little stinker.
She didn't want MeMe to
take her roll away...lol
And so I didn't:)
Have fun Bookie Shae!
(Note to my children: No, I didn't let you waste play with toilet paper when you were little, because well...ummm...I can't remember exactly why...lol, but I'm sure we gave you a good reason back then. )
However, Brookelyn's different. See, God made her GRAND...the GRANDbaby.) And you will do crazy things when you turn GRAND (as in grandmother)... like me. One day you'll understand when you grow up and have grandbabies of your own...lol)

Celebrating Katie...

Today we are celebrating Katie. It's her special day. Feb 2nd belongs to her:) My beautiful daughter blessed our world on Feb 2 of 1992. She was a precious baby ...even at birth ,because she gave me the easiest pregnancy and labor ever....thank you Katie Bug. She wiggled her little way into my world at a wee little 6 pounds and 1oz and changed my world forever. That was a beautiful day... Oh what a beautiful day it was.

Today, we are celebrating 19 years. It's so hard to believe that my baby girl is really 19 years old now. Wow! Where has the time gone? To me she's still a baby...My baby and always will be.

She woke up with us singing "Happy Birthday". I knew she had to work today ,so I asked her what she would like for lunch ,since she wouldn't be home for dinner. I should have known it would be the kickin' chicken sandwich from Zaxby's...it's her all time favorite. So that's what she got:) We even served it on a plate...she deserved glass instead of Styrofoam. She also enjoyed a cookie cake (her other fav) from her big sister Anna.

It sure has been a Katie day today. Mr Ground Hog hasn't gotten anything on my sweet baby girl.
Happy Birthday Katie Bug!
Love, Mom
