Oh My! Oh Me! If the rest of the year is anything like these last few days, then we are in for a wild ride.
Since Christmas and really before Christmas it's been one thing after another, and another, and another. My DFCS worker called me yesterday about coming out and I asked if she could wait until next week. I explained to her (which she already knew ) that I am barely keeping my head above the water these days. Seriously. I asked her could she give me a few days to catch my breath. Of course she laughed at me and said that she thought that she would never hear me say that, but man on man, it's been just that crazy here in Howellville.
My hubby's brother took a fall a few days before Christmas and has been is very serious condition, so my hubby has been back and forth to Atlanta with him. My little ones took turns having pink eye/head colds and congestion starting Christmas day. Then my hubby brought home the flu the week after Christmas....grrr As if all of that was not enough, on Sunday our foster "Z" took off sick with what we thought was a tummy bug, but by Sunday night I knew it had to be more. By Monday we were in an ambulance being rushed from our local ER to Children's in Atlanta. Within minutes of walking through the door "Z" was in the OR having his appendix removed. After a couple of days he was released. Now we are home and trying to catch up in our house and reschedule all of the therapies and appointments we've missed since Christmas...grrrrr It's got to get better. It just has to.
Prayers are needed. Pray for complete healing for Brent's brother Shane and for little Z and then throw in an extra prayer for the rest of us that are not feeling so well ourselves.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he will direct thy paths. ~Proverbs 3:5-6
