Today has been better than yesterday(so far). They actually allowed baby girl to start eating soft foods. So I know her tummy has to feel better with food in it. This is one step closer to home for us.
She's only had one major meltdown and that was caused by the resp therapist and nurse both working on her at the same time. It seemed to set her off having both on opposite sides of the bed. Although they weren't hurting her (no ouchies just the regular temp, BP, clean diaper, etc) they were just to much at once. That led to a 2 hour meltdown that probably woke the whole PICU. Being in here has given me a lot of time to watch and make notes on her to take to Emory next month (The Marcus Center is sending us to Emory) and being here has given me time to explore the net looking for answers to what makes our baby girl tick.
Bry has a lot of deeper issues we are dealing with every single day and sometimes they are tougher than her physical limitations and her fragile health. She has seen numerous doctors for this over the last year. The problem is that one place gives us one diagnoses and then another place tells us something else. Hopefully, the Marcus Center, our behavior therapist, and Emory can work together and give us some clear answers. Our girl's a puzzle and I'm her care giver that will NEVER stop trying to put her pieces together.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he will direct thy paths. ~Proverbs 3:5-6
