So here is what I have bouncing around in my head...
My hubby is the man!!!!! He managed to remove the broken marble tiles on my kitchen floor and replaced them with new ones...yay!!!!! You rock hubby!!!!!!!!
Jacob has spent the whole day riding go-carts with our neighbor's son Avery. Those two kids have spent almost every day this week playing outside, in the yard & woods. You gotta love kids that still actually play.
I've spent the last several hours trying to sanitize our home from top to bottom. Our little 4 year old foster has had the tummy bug. It's been rough. He's still not old enough to make it to the potty when it hits so I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. I'm exhausted and my fingers are sore from scrubbing. But, he seems to be getting some better ,because we've had no new messes since the AM. I'm praying no one else comes down with it.
We still haven't heard the results from BB's last labs. I was hoping to hear something yesterday since it had been a whole week, but we didn't:( Next week he has to spend two days in Atlanta. He will be seeing a couple more specialist. One for his eyes and also a neurologist. He also meets with Babies Can't Wait to see what type of services they can provide for our little guy. Please add BB to your prayer lists. He needs lots of prayers.
So happy to have my Z home. He went to spend the night with his birth mom and thankfully he came home a day earlier than expected. Yay!!!! Oh how I miss my boy when he's gone. He is just not the same kid anymore. He is really acting out these days. I think he is so confused that he don't know how to handle it, so he is acts out. After a couple of days home, he gets back to his sweet little self. I just hate this so bad for him. We are still praying that somehow Z won't have to leave us ,but we are pretty sure he will be:(
We will probably be adding a new foster to our home next month. Actually (if Z has to leave us) we may be adding two. One is a little girl that is Z's age that we have known her whole life that came into care. It will be nice having a little girl after all the boys we've had. We were approved for her yesterday. The other is our baby boy K. Our past foster baby. Do you remember the newborn we brought home last fall? Well, he has come back into care, but because of all the health concerns with BB we weren't able to take him when he came in last month. But, the case worker wants to move him back here asap. We just aren't accepting any new kids until we get Z's case settled. So we have a lot to think about & pray about.
Tomorrow is homecoming at our church. We have it once a year. It's the one day that many of our elder or past members come back and visit. We always have preaching, singing ,and then a huge dinner with our church family. It's like a huge family reunion. What shall I cook to carry???? hmmmm.
We are all getting ready for Carter's 1st birthday!!! His mommy has a party planned for next weekend for him. I'm really excited. I can't believe our little grand is going to be one already. Gee whiz how time flies.
Well, I guess that's it. My tiny one is crying. He is ready to eat. He eats every two hours and is up to 4 ozs now. So he is doing good with his feeds.
Anyhow, have a great weekend!
