Front Facing or Rear Facing...
Which Is Best?
If you have a child, grandchild, or any child that rides in your vehicle,
please take a moment and watch these videos.
Recently, my own daughter Anna was talking about how happy she will be when she can face Brookelyn forward in her carseat. She has been looking forward to moving Brookelyn from her infant seat to her convertable seat as soon as she reaches 20 pounds and she planned facing her forward.
I plan to share these videos with her this weekend, in hopes she will think twice before turning our sweet baby forward.

Also I recommend to all of you to take a carseat safety class. Most health departments offer these for free and ours even gives you a free carseat just for taking them. As a foster parent I was required to take classes and I learned things I never knew about carseat safety. I've buckled many carseats through the years and I believed I knew everything I could possibly know to keep my children safe in a car, but they keep coming out with new info. It's something to think about.
Plus, one more thing...if you ever get an an accident, even one with no injuries,do not reuse your child's carseat...replace it. Best wishes and drive safely:)
I love that you posted this! my little girl is 18 months old and is still Rear facing. She dosn't know the difference I hope to keep her R/Fing as long as her seat will allow. I wish that more people knew that 1 and 20# was a minumum and how much safer R/Fing was.

I had a little unbreakable mirror that strapped to the back of the seat the carseat was in. It allowed me to see her when she was rear facing. Mine was so tiny for so long, I couldn't have switched her if I had wanted to.
