Yesterday was Homecoming
at our Lil Country Church.
This is the original church building that still sets up on the hill.
We no longer have our services there, because
we have a new church building now.
But, that lil building holds some very
precious memories to me.
We have homecoming once a year and it is usually in June.
It's a time when many of our past members,
past pastors, etc come back home to visit.
This year we were blessed to have Krystal Klear to perform
and we had a wonderful fellowship dinner
out on the lawn at noon.
Above is the steeple on our new church building and pictured below is our new church building...I couldn't seem to get the whole building in the picture, with the steeple. We've really been enjoying the extra space, but it's not the same as our little country church above. (The church is really not about the building and I know that, but the building becomes special, especially when you've spent 20+ years there or 30+ like my hubby has.)
On the Saturday before Homecoming we always have a work day for
cleaning up around the church, mowing the lawn, planting flowers,
adding flowers to all the graves, etc.
Below is Brent's grandmother and grandfather's grave.
During homecoming we always remember the past members that
have gone on before us,but that left their mark here
on all of us at Beulahland.
I love my church.
We are all family.
When I see the little sign below, I know that I'm not that far from home.
I am blessed to live in a close knit community too.
I also can't think of a better name for this lil community.
Across from our church, someone built a model house for
display purposes and in the front of it
they placed the 10 commandments...
which I thought was really neat.
Right beside our church is a 4 way stop and
this sets right there for all to see,
but also in view of our new church.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my little
community & church.
I thank God that I am blessed to be a part of this place.
I grew up in a small church, but now go to a mega church. We are one church in two locations. I love my church! Sounds like a great church family and town!

I'm still searching for a church home. One that my kids feel like they belong to. I want something small, too. I never feel comfortable at those giant churches.
