The singers are tired.
The church as we know it,
Is losing its fire.
Some are discouraged, from bearing the load
But we must determine, to keep pressing on.
‘Cause if just one more soul
Were to walk down the aisle
It would be worth every struggle
It would be worth every mile
A lifetime of labor is still worth it all
If it rescues just one more soul
So preachers, keep preachin’
And singers, go sing
Laymen, keep sharing
That Jesus is King
The angels have gathered, they’re surrounding the throne
And they’ll start rejoicing for just one more soul
(The picture is a pic of our church. We have been blessed with a new sanctuary.)
Keep on keeping on! Jesus is REAL! There is hope!

Wonderful words and I must admit I needed the encouragement. I left church this morning frustrated by things I didn't understand going on. But, as the church we must continue to stand.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful your new sanctuary is and I am sure it makes you all feel so special to be lifting up words and praises to our heavenly Father in here. May God continue to use us all to bring every last soul back to Him.

Catching up from a busy weekend. There is definely one more soul. I posted yesterday that my youngest daughter was baptized yesterday morning. The souls are there we just have to reach out to them. Our pastor said it in a way I had never heard before. The harvest is there but we have to go to them, just as we plant gardens in the spring, our harvest doesn't come to us when its ready. We have to go to it.
