A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

I just love that & it is so true. I remember my Grandma explaining that to me one day as a child. My Grandma lived to be 95 & passed away in 1999. She out lived most of her friends but she always said the best is yet to come & don't cry for I'm in a better place & one day you will be there to. I know to well it's hard to lose someone but to know we can be with them forever again is AWESOME !!! Prayers & HUGS for all of you !!

What a beautiful tribute to your hubby's grandmother. I am confident that sometime in the near future we will all be united once again with those that passed on before us.

It's so unfortunate that we can't keep our loved ones with us. It is so hard to loose someone you've known since the day you were born. I haven't lost a single grandparent yet, but I know it's coming. I pray peace for your family and your husbands extended family. So sorry to hear.
ReplyDeleteYou always write such beautiful posts and this one is no different. It is a lovely tribute you wrote. May God bless you and your family in the time of sadness.

What a sweet poem. It's so hard for us losing someone we love but so important to keep an eternal perspective and know that we will be together again with our Father in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute. I'm sorry for your loss.
