Daily Devotion

Verse-Ephesians 3:17-19
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints wat is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Thoughts-
Lack of self worth affects every part of our life. All too often we carry emotional wounds from our past, or childhood, into our relationship with God. God knows everything there possibly is to know about us, and loves us still. Our misconceptions about ourselves, affect how we react to, and receive, the fullness of God’s love. It is difficult to comprehend God’s love, when we cannot love ourselves. God has expressed His love through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ. In accepting His gift, we discover, we are not only able to be true to ourselves, but we are able to receive, and share the love of God with others.

Daily Devotion

Verse-Psalm 138:8
The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
Thoughts-
We all search for a place of belonging and purpose. We can read about it, and hear of the experiences of others, but we will not find it for ourselves until we begin to embrace God’s vision for our life, wanting it more than anything else. God has a vision for each of our lives and we need to grab hold of it, and not allow anything to prevent us from earnestly and whole-heartedly seeking it. Today we can begin by putting aside our desire to become what we are not and learn not only to be content but comfortable with the person God has created us to be. When our hearts are in this open place, we will begin to see God birthing our purpose, a purpose that goes beyond our dreams and human whims, and brings glory and honor to our Creator.

Monday...

Just had a few moments and wanted to drop by. It's been a good weekend. The girls went to their cousin Courtney's house. The boys mostly hung out with their Dad. I pretty much took it easy all weekend ,which was really nice. It was just so quiet and calm around here.

On Friday, I took hubby to his Dr apt and the news was good. They did not find any cancer or any reason to be concerned with the tests on his colon. This was a prayer answered. He will be having the surgery on his stomach sometime probably next month after all the tests are in. We were just pleased with these last results and praising God!

The rest of the week we will be settling in and trying to get on some type of schedule.

Over the weekend, I got Jacob registered in school. No he is not going to public school ,but he is going to be in Virtual public school. This is all new to us and to the state of Ga and I'm really excited. I hope that it is as good as I've heard that it will be. He will still be at home doing his work ,but they will be doing all my planning, grading, and they will be supplying me with all my needs...I think they should, After all I pay school taxes just like everyone else. I'm really excited about this and I'll share more with you as we go. Check out the website http://www.k12.com/ga/

Have a great week!

What is right in your life?

There are plenty of things that are right with your life. Have you thought about any of them lately?
The goodness in your life is so much a part of you that you can easily take it for granted and rarely give it a second thought. On a regular basis, though, it pays to think about that goodness.
Whatever else may be going on in your world, the fact is that you are extremely blessed in many ways. Think about those blessings that blend quietly into the background, supporting and sustaining you in every moment.
Think for a little while about what's right with your life. The more often you connect with the value that's already yours, the more new value you will create.
When you feel that the troubles and frustrations are dominating your thoughts, stop and turn your mind in a more positive direction. Remember that wherever your thoughts go, the rest of you will quickly follow.
Focus your awareness on the many good things that make up your life. For with your nurturing, those good and valuable things can indeed grow into greatness.

Daily Devotion

Verse-Psalm 40:5
Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward:they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Thoughts-
Each day we encounter a variety of situations; it is our reactions to them that make all the difference. We have a choice to make as we face each problem. Sure, we can’t control what others do or the trouble we may face, but we can decide where we are going to fix our attention. Sometimes we are inclined to dwell on the bad things, being quick to list every conflict, adversity, and affliction we have faced and are facing, all the while neglecting to see the grace and mercy of God in them. We have a choice to make, to either focus on the trouble itself, or the work God is performing in the middle of it. Fixing our eyes upon the grace that leads us; the mercy and forgiveness that has been extended towards us; and all that we glean, as God safely brings us through. God indeed has and is doing great things. Let’s focus our attention on that and be glad.

Where are your thoughts?

Where are your thoughts going? That is where your life will soon be.
On what kinds of things is your awareness most consistently focused? Those are the things that will form the reality of your life.
Life is endlessly abundant. The portion of that abundance that you can most fully imagine and embody determines how life will be for you.
Every achievement exists first in your mind. Every disappointment also exists first in your mind.
So fill your mind with the best you can imagine, as often as you can remember to do so. The possibilities to which you devote your focus and your energy are the ones you will experience for real.
Right this moment, your thoughts are setting the direction for your future. Choose the thoughts that will lead you to the life you most desire.
-- Ralph Marston

Thoughts to ponder...

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.
Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Happy birthday to my baby! Jacob Noah is 6 years old today. It seems only yesterday he was a tiny little baby. He has grew up so much these last few weeks. He gave up his sippy cup last week...finally... he loved that thing. He also moved out of my bedroom...which I thought would never happen. He has been sleeping in his "Big Boy Bed" for three nights now...yay!!!!! Yes, he is growing up and fast.

Over the weekend, Anna and Corey took Jacob to the Rodeo and he loved it. He had never been to one before. He loves anything to do with cowboys and bull riders. Anna also took him to buy him some cowboy boots and he was so happy that he slept in them. Dylan gave him a cowboy belt and hat, so he thinks he is a cowboy now...lol

It's been a pretty good weekend.
