More testing...

They just took my baby back for more testing. In this phase of testing we will do another MRI, a PET scan, EEG, and a SEEG, but we won't do them all at once. He is here today at Scottish Rite for the brain MRI. Next, they will be sending us to Egleston for a PET scan/ EEG and then we will come back to Scottish Rite next month for a few days to have a SEEG done. They are doing the MRI today to see if he has had any changes since the last one 6 weeks ago. So far all of the studies that they have done have came back that he is a candidate for the surgery. Once he completes all of these studies, The neuro team will meet with us to discuss options. If they feel comfortable doing the surgery, they will forward his study on to Emory. Emory will then review the study and if they agree with CHOA, we can then go forward with surgery. I am scared for Blaze to have to go through this surgery but I'm even more scared if they decide that he is not a candidate. Without surgery they feel Blaze will only get progressively worse. Please keep him in your prayers and also pray for the doctors who are making these big decisions about him. We love you all and appreciate the prayers more than you know.
