We are adopting again!

Yes, you read that right! 

Our third adoption!

Adoption was not part of our plans when we first started fostering. It wasn't until Bay came along that we had a change of heart about adoption, however, we did not adopt her (she was placed with her aunt and is in great hands). Then once again, we considered adoption with our foster son "little Z" who was with us for the first 2 years of his life. At the last minute, DFCS decided to give mom one more chance and returned him to her. It wasn't something we agreed with DFCS on, but we, as foster parents, don't have any rights.

Well, that sweet little boy came back to us last year. He has been with us now for a year. On October 19th, we are going to court to terminate parental rights. It doesn't make me happy to TPR a parent, but in this case it is for the best. Our little Z wants to be our forever child. He wants us to adopt him. How could we possibly say no? So yes, we will be adopting again!
