So what's new around here?
We've had a pretty easy week. We enjoyed our extended weekend with our family and friends. We didn't take Monday off fully, because we kept our therapy sessions for the babies, but that was it and it was in our home so it wasn't that bad.
We are anxiously awaiting Monday to arrive. Monday we have our adoption signing. We are ecstatic. We've waited for this day for so long. I can't believe our dream is coming true. Joshua will be our baby forever. What a precious gift he is.
We took baby girl for her pre-op today at Children's. She is doing great. They were so surprised at how well she's doing and she was so friendly and happy today. Normally doctor appointments stress her out and she fights and screams through the whole appointments, but not today! It was a first. No meltdowns! She actually turned her head to let them check her ears. Opened her mouth for them and even raised her arm for her BP check. I just hope we can keep her well until next week. She did drop a few ounces from her weight, she is back down to 26 pounds...grrr but hopefully after her surgery next week she will start eating more and gaining again.
I spoke to our new Speech therapist. She plans to come out next "Thursday" to meet Joshua. I'm hoping this is a good thing. I hope she will be a good match with my baby and our family. We are going to miss Laura our old speech therapist, but she no longer serves our area (Insert sad face here ).
Joshua's neurologist wants to admit him sometime over the next few weeks to do a video EEG. I'm not happy. I'm really tired of all of these appointments. It seems like one test always leads to another with these two babies. It gets really old making all these trips.
Our youngest and the least spoken about foster JK is doing very well. He is the sweetest baby you could ever ask for and the chunkiest. He started turning over from his back to tummy last week. He is about to cut his first tooth. He laughs at everything. Can already hold his own bottle. Tries to talk. Smiles constantly and steals everyone's heart. He turned 4 months old today but he acts more like he is 6 months or older and he is the size of a six month old. He's going to catch up with Joshua in weight very soon. He is adorable!
Hubs and I are doing great and the grown kids and grands are doing GREAT too!
Well that's it! Baby girl is calling me. She wants her sippy cup:)
