~As for me and my house we will serve the Lord ~ Joshua 24:15

When the Lord is in it...

I've just got to share this. As most of you know I am a foster mom to two special needs babies. One is a 2 year old lil girl that can't walk but has recently learned to roll all over the house. She requires medical equipment. One thing she requires at all times is a pulse/ox machine that tells us how she is breathing or not breathing. It hooks to her toe. Since she has become so active she keeps breaking the sensor wires. They cost about $57 and medicaid only covers 4 a month. She has been needing at least 6 or more a month and the extras are on us. Our supply company was kind enough to send us a couple extra this month, but they can't keep doing that. One night she broke the last one we had(and her homecare nurse failed to tell me she used the last one) so I set by her bed all night just to be sure she kept breathing. Well, our supply company got in touch with the maker of the machine and told them about us. This morning I got a call. It was the head person over the company and the whole east coast. He asked could he stop by. I told him that it would be fine and that we would be home. He pulled up in my yard in a lexus and he gets out wearing his suit and tie. I go to the door barefooted, hair pulled in a pony tail, a t-shirt and capris. Needless to say I felt a little embarrassed when I shook his hand. This man was from New York City but he was down here in GA just passing through he said. I invited him in to my little modest home. Our homecare nurse met us at the door and took over. She told him all about us being foster parents & she introduced our lil girl to him. I could tell our girl touched his heart right away.  He asked to look at all of her equipment. Our nurse carried him back to Baby girl's room and they stayed gone for a long while. I figured our nurse was telling him about how we've begged and pleaded with the supply company. They came back into the kitchen and he informed us that he would like to bless us with 40 sensors (I was just hoping for two), a new pulse/ox machine that can be hooked to her ear and be used in the place of the other if needed, and he is going to give us a co2 monitor. That would cost us well over $3000 but he's not charging us a thing. Now this is where it gets good...
After he left my nurse told me why they were back there so long. While they were back in the room our nurse led that man to the Lord. Now I don't know about you but I know God was in this. That man came in my door lost and left a saved man. God fulfilled our needs today and He fulfilled this man's need for a Saviour. God sure is good! Please keep this man in your prayers.
