Brookelyn got to see Kaylan for the

very first time on Saturday.

I wasn't there, but I heard that Brookelyn

was so excited and wanted to help Katie

do everything for the baby.

I LOVE my girls.

They have added soooooo much joy

to this family.

 

 

Brookelyn is going to be a GREAT big cousin.

A dream came true...

 

What a sweet day it was.

Yesterday, my baby girl became a mommy.

All of her life she has dreamed of the day

that she would be a mommy.

When she was little she always

said that she was going to have as many babies

as she could fit on a school bus...lol

 

Yesterday, her dream came true.

 

 

In case you didn't know.

Sisters married brothers.

No, not like that.

The Wesson boys married the Howell girls.

So not only are Anna & Katie sisters

they are also sister-in-laws.

It's neat.

They are blessed.

I sure wish I had a sister of my own

or even a close sister-in-law.

I pray my girls always stay this close.

Yes, I was looking pretty rough

 after almost 24 hours with no sleep.

But, I wouldn't have missed

Katie's big day for nothing.

 

 

Finally, it was time.

Time for another angel to be born.

Our little miracle.

 

After all the worry and all the scares.

Finally the day came.

 She is here.

Katie's dream came true.

 

There could never be a happier mom

or a more thankful one

than my daughter was the moment

they placed Kaylan in her arms.

It was priceless.

It was beautiful.

It was one of the very best

moments of my life.

 

She was 8 pounds of perfection.

The biggest baby ever born in my family.

 

 

She looked so much like her mommy.

Yet, she looked like her daddy too.

 

Needless to say,

It was LOVE.

LOVE at first sight.

 

She was here less than a second and she already

owned her MeMe's heart.

 

 

And her daddy...

Well, what can I say?

She has him wrapped around her

tiny finger.

 

 

We waited soooooooo long,

but she was worth every minute of it.

there was this little girl

Just a simple update...

Well, I really don't have much to share this week. Everything is pretty much back to normal from the Holiday break. Back to work, back to school, back to therapy (for the babies), and back to the regular routine.

We still don't have a baby. Our little granddaughter is in no hurry to come out. Poor Katie is so ready for it to be over. Hopefully it will be very soon. If not, they plan to induce her next week.

I spoke with our HR worker yesterday and things are looking really good. She is starting the conversion on our home. We have to convert from foster home over to an adoption home. Hopefully it won't be a long drug out process since we just had our fostering re-cert/ home study completed in Dec. We have to have a life history done on BB and once it's approved we meet with an adoption lawyer. We hope that everything will be done within 2 months. That is the goal. Pray for us.

Our foster JJ has been meeting with his new forever family. This weekend will be his first overnight stay. He will be leaving our home on Feb 1st. I'm very excited for him & his new family. I think they are a perfect match!

Brylee is doing fantastic. She is more stable than she has been. She is getting stronger everyday. She walked in her walker/gate trainer a few steps on Monday, something she hasn't been able to do in a while. She has been off of oxygen during the day and that is a major improvement from December when she needed it 24/7. We also noticed yesterday that she is using her weak hand more. Hopefully this is a sign that she is going to regain use of it. Please keep her in your prayers.
