~As for me and my house we will serve the Lord ~ Joshua 24:15

Just random stuff...

Wow!!! It's been a C*r*a*z*y few days. It's a good thing I can handle the crazy life:) When you live with the zoo crew you learn crazys not all that bad...lol

Yesterday, I took our precious little foster boy "Z" to the doctor. He had some type of allergic reaction and it affected his breathing. He broke out from head to toe in a bright red itchy rash and he was miserable. He already has some respiratory issues that he has had from birth. He keeps a chest rattle almost 24/7. The doc says he is to young to diagnose with asthma ,but he is treating him as if he has it ,because he knows most likely the does and that's why he keeps having these off and on flair ups. When I got Z there yesterday, his oxygen level was lower than it should be. So they went ahead with breathing treatments and that helped. They prescribed him new meds and an inhaler. Please keep my sweet pea in your prayers. He weighs 18 lbs & 10 ozs and he is 26 inches long. He's just a cute little chunky monkey.

On Sunday, we had a get-together with my Nanny's side of the family (The Sullivans). I don't know what you people up north call it when your family gathers together ,but around here we call it a get-together. I'm sure if Nanny was looking down from Heaven she was so proud to see us spending the day together. I even took pictures (I know you aren't a bit surprised...lol).

Yesterday, we had our foster parent appreciation dinner at White Oak Park. We got spoiled. Our case workers & our county is so good to us foster families. We are blessed to be part of the team. It's always a blessing to spend time with all the other families and their foster children. It feels good to be with people who understand completely what we deal with on a day to day basis.

Today, we will be adding our 22nd placement to our home. We are getting a new foster child. I'll share more later about our newest addition.

This week is VBS (Vacation Bible School). I have been asked to teach this week. So I'll be busy with that. I wasn't able to make it last night due to the foster parent dinner ,but my daughter Ashley stepped up to the plate and taught my class. I am so proud of her. I didn't even have to ask her. She just took it on herself. What a blessing.

Well, that's about it. I hope you all have a blessed day! Lots of (((hugs)).
