I just realized that I haven't done a 4 month update on little Z. So here it is:) Our sweet little foster baby is doing good. He found his hands and feet and it's just precious watching him looking at them. He is flipping from tummy to back and back to tummy. He is growing like a weed. He is for sure a chunky Monkey now. I haven't weighed him lately, but maybe I'll do that tonight after his bath. I know he has grew a lot, because he is heavy now. He is a smiley little boy that smiles the biggest smile at first sight of anyone he knows...it's adorable. He is also learning people and faces,so if someone picks him up that he doesn't know he usually will poke his lip out and bust out crying. He doesn't like tummy time at all,but his doc wants him to spend more time on it. He doesn't put weight on his legs, and that's been a little concerning. The Babies Can't Wait therapist is suppose to be coming out to see what we need to do. We have been putting him in the doorway jumper and he likes it pretty good, but he won't stand or jump...he just hangs & spends. Tomorrow we are going to try him in an exercauser and see what he thinks about that. I really think he is just being stubborn. He would rather lay on his back and play. He is very good about entertaining himself. He is a quiet baby. He cries the quietest cry ever. If you are two rooms away you can't hear his cry. His case worker and I were talking about it last night and I told her that I think that he will be soft spoken and easy going. But, I told little Z he is going to have to get a little louder if he wants to be heard around this chaotic house:) However, Little Z is not a good sleeper at night and he is an early bird. He wakes up atleast 2 times each night to eat. His doc told me to put cereal in his bottle(most docs tell you not to), but even with cereal he still wakes up. He is usually awake & ready for the day by 5 AM every morning ,but he will play in his bed for a little while kicking and making baby sounds (he has found his voice too). So sometimes I can sleep a little longer. We have really been enjoying this precious little boy. He has been the easiest baby ever. I am one blessed foster mom to have him in my life. He's already gotten us wrapped around his little fingers. All 19 of our fosters have been special in their own way, but some really steal your heart and Z is one of those:)

Update from earlier post...
I just weighed little Z and he is now
14 pounds & 3.7 ozs
He is 24 inches long.
I knew he had grew.
Look at his chunky legs:)
Doesn't it make you want
to just squeeze him?
But notice his feet?
He has really tiny little feet and hands.
I can't show face pics,
but maybe one day I will get to.
He is one of the cutest little
boys ever:)
He is one of the cutest little
boys ever:)
Please keep Little Z in your prayers.
We are not sure what his future holds.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he will direct thy paths. ~Proverbs 3:5-6
Little Z will be fine. Don't worry, everyone grows at a different rate. He may do things his whole life at his own pace and that will just make him more unique and wonderful! Remember Einstein didn't speak till he was 6 I believe. They thought he was retarded....
ReplyDeleteGive Z's cute little chubby legs a hug for me!!
