What a blessing...

What can I say??? Thank you seems so small when I consider what was done for "Z" ,but also for us. Someone who has chosen to remain anonymous chose to sponsor little Z (our foster baby) this Christmas. DFCS called me and told me that Z had some gifts that needed to be picked up. I went to get his gifts, thinking how nice it would be if maybe he got a couple of things that we could put under the tree for him. Little did I know how blessed he would be. How can you thank someone for being so kind???
In the past we've often been left to handle Christmas for our fosters ,because we want them to have a good Christmas while they are here and to get gifts from Santa...like our kids do. However, it gets hard especially when you already have a house full to buy for and we are by no means wealthy people. One Christmas we had eight children living here. But, we've always dug down in our own pockets and done the best we could for our fosters (present & past).
So our little Z is for sure a blessed little boy. He won't really remember this year, except through the pictures that we take and add to his lifebook. But we (his foster parents) won't ever forget what was done for him by some very kind person.
If you would like to sponsor a Christmas child, then call your local family & children's services. New kids come in to foster care every week,so sponsors are a blessing.  Some of these kids will experience their first Christmas while in foster care. It's people like Z's sponsor that makes Christmas dreams come true for these children and they help us foster parents out more than they will ever know.
My prayer is that God will send an extra special blessing this Christmas to our special sponsor. What a blessing they have been to us.

  2. What a blessing Sandy! I bet you were just tickled pink when you saw all this! =)

I hope these anonymous people know how much of a blessing they are. We have an "anonymous" at our church in Kansas who has bought Christmas gifts for all four of our kids. I cried when I found out, and it still brings tears to my eyes. With hubby losing his job this past October, and living in Kansas now, while we are still here in GA, Christmas presents just weren't on our list of things we even attempted to do. It's going to be all we can do just to get us moved there and together as a family again before Christmas.

The fact that people are willing to give to others without wanting any fame or gratitude, is just so special, I'm beyond words....just tears. Like you, I pray that God would bless them in a special way, just when they need it the most! :)
