Oh My! Where should I start? I have so much to be thankful for. God has been so good to me. How can I thank Him enough????
It was hard to come up with just 10 things. But, here I go. My 10 things that I am most thankful for this season.
1. I am thankful for my family. God has blessed me with a wonderful family that I dearly love. Anyone that knows me, knows that I treasure my family. They are so precious to me. Thank you God for my family. My hubby & my kids.
2. I am thankful for the 18 foster children we have been blessed to know. They have taught me that it's possible to love someone else's child just like your own. The lessons I've learned from fostering, could be a list of it's on. But one thing I've learned is that anyone can change and bloom if given enough TLC and when I say TLC I mean "time", "love",and "compassion". This goes for the children and their bio families.
3.I am thankful for health. I am healthy and my family is healthy and I am so thankful for that. So many are sick and struggling right now and stand in need of prayers. Thank you Lord for my health & for a healthy family.
4. I am thankful for my home. No, it's not the cute little house with the white picket fence and the manicured lawn the one I dreamed about as a child. No, it's not that house. It's the little blue house on the left with the yard full of toys, the little mixed dog,and the grass that can't grow (because the kids keep it trampled down). It's the little house with the fingerprints on the windows and smudges on the door... Yes, it's that little house. You know, the one that feels like home, where everyone is welcome, and where there is plenty of love to go around. Yep! that's where I live. It may not look like much to you, but that little house is my home. Thank you God for my home.
5. I am thankful to still have my nanny with me. She wasn't suppose to still be here, but she's a fighter. She just keeps amazing her doctors. She starts kidney dialysis this week, so keep her in your prayers. Thank you God for my Nanny. I love her so much. She is the best grandmother anyone could ever ask for and I pray I can be just as good a grandmother to my precious Brookelyn Shae.
6. I am thankful that my Mom is feeling so much better and is doing so much better. I am thankful for the doctor that was willing to do the surgery on her spine, because it has for sure changed my Mom's life. Thank you God for my Mom.
7. Thank you God for my Hubby's job. He is our main provider. His work has been a little slack, but it usually gets this way every fall. His hours went down to 30 instead of 40. We are just thankful that he still has a job. God has supplied Hubby with extra work that he can do on the side and it has helped so much. God continues to help us to make ends meet. Thank you Lord for supplying us of our needs.
8. I am thankful for my job. I am blessed to be able to stay home and take care of these wonderful children. I love them dearly and I really can't imagine doing anything else with my time. Thank you Lord for my job.
9. I am thankful for my church. Church is a very important part of our life. It's a gathering place where people who are like family to us come together to worship, pray, and learn about God. It's the best place I know to go. I love my church. I love my Pastor. I love my church family. I am so blessed. Thank you Lord for leading us there.
10.I am thankful for our friends. I am blessed with some very dear friends that have done so much for our family through the years. I am blessed to know what true friends are ,because I have a few in my life. Thank you Lord for giving me friends. Please help me to be just as good a friend as they have been to me.
