Who would have ever thought one little foster baby would change our lives so much and add so much joy to our lives?:) I am just so thankful that her mom has continued to share her with our family. She is a blessing to all of us. Bailey is a gift from God.

Just an update from Howellville

Just wanted to stop in and update:) It's been a cold rainy weekend. However, it's been a good one:) Because of the rain, we spent a good bit of time indoors and together:)
On Friday, we had girls night out and we got Bailey for the weekend... That was a lot of fun!
On Saturday, I got up pretty early to get my house in order before Jacob & Bailey woke up. Those two little rascals slept in and didn't get up until after 10 am...I guess they were tired. Brent had to work Saturday until lunch. So pretty much, I had it to myself and I got some stuff done that I needed to do.
When Brent came in, he decided we would go take Bailey to see my mom and to check on her. She was looking good and feeling some what better. She always loves when we bring Bailey to see her. I told Brent that Bailey was better than medicine to my mom and nanny, because Bailey always cheers them up and makes them feel better:)
After that, we went out to eat, and then Brent said,"let's go see nanny"...so we did:) We spent a couple of hours with her and then came home.
On Saturday night, I had a house full of boys. Jon had three friends that spent the night, so that kept me pretty busy.
On Sunday, we went to morning service. I had to make two trips just to get us all there:) because we had so many that they couldn't all fit in mini ,but that was a good thing. Then that evening we took Bay to meet her mom and we went back to church.
So over all our weekend went well:)

*****Update on my mom******
My mom is home now. She will have surgery on Wednesday. They are not going to be able to use the vessels in her arms to put in her legs, because they are to small. So they are going to have to use man made ones. The only problem with this is that they don't last very long and will have to be replaced from time to time, which means more surgery in the future, but it's the only choice she has,if she wants to be able to walk and live without constant pain. She has to do something because she can't keep going like this. The new doctor said that mom had about let herself go to far. However, if wasn't all her fault, she was listening to the other doctor and that is why she went so long,before we got her talked into going to another doctor and getting a second opinion. This doctor believes he will be able to perform this surgery and be successful. So please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Another update on my mom

I had a moment and wanted to stop in and update you on my mom. She had the cath done today. It went well. They did find 5 blockages ,but they do believe they will be able to fix them. They kept her in the hospital and will probably keep her for a couple of days, to complete all the tests they are wanting to do before they attempt to do the surgery on her legs. At this time, they plan to do surgery next Wednesday on one leg and after it heals they will do the surgery on the other. They can't do both at the same time.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate all the prayers that have went up for my mom. You are all such a blessing to me.

This child has the most beautiful blue eyes /lashes of any child I've ever seen.

Some are not as clear as others because I'm trying out the different lenses and buttons. I am still trying to get use to all the options this new camera has. With time,I hope I will get the hang of it:) Enjoy!

5 Sponges

There are five sponges laying on your kitchen counter. Each member of your family has been cleaning up different areas of your home, but all the sponges look the same.
You are curious as to what was cleaned, but you can't tell by looking. They all look the same. So, what do you do? As you squeeze the first sponge you see that cola comes out, and you decide that someone cleaned the kitchen with that one.
Upon squeezing the second sponge, you find tub and tile cleaner. That one was used in the bathroom.
In the third sponge you find motor oil. Someone cleaned the garage.
In the fourth sponge, baby powder puffs out. The baby's nursery was cleaned with that one.
In the last sponge is floor wax. That was the one you used on the hall floor. As you lay the last one down, you look again at their similarity.
They all look the same until they are squeezed.
Christians are the same! As life squeezes us, different things come out: anger, revenge, tears, remorse, greed, untruth, lust and finally, from one saint, pours forth the love of Christ.
Just like the sponge, we can only squeeze out what is put in.
Stay in the Word daily and be in continuous prayer so that when life puts the squeeze on you, Jesus, and Jesus alone will shine forth.
As you think upon this, ask yourself, if I was squeezed, would Jesus and Jesus alone shine forth?

Update on my mom

I wanted to stop by and update you all. My mom will be going in today to have a heart cath done. This should determine if her heart is strong enough to under go the surgery on her legs and it should give them an overall picture of how well her heart is doing. These are new doctors and a new hospital, so we are anxious to hear their thoughts and plans.
Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers that have went up for my mom.
