A gift for baby

What a wonderful surprise!!!!
Yesterday,we found a box setting next to our mailbox. At first,I thought it might have been something someone had threw out,because I'm constantly picking up stuff out of our yard ,so
I walked up to the box and noticed that it had a yellow letter attached to it. It had my name on it. I picked up the letter and read it.
It went something like this...
Sandy,
Here are a few things for the new baby. It's not much. You were a blessing to me at Bible school with your children & family. Those babies are so lucky and I hope one day they know how they were loved and cared for by your family. Thanks!
Bless,Rose

I tried to remember who Rose was and I believe she is the grandmother to a couple of the children I had in VBS this year. I just thought that was toooo sweet and such a wonderful surprise.
Inside the box were several little boy outfits,onsies, pjs, jackets, shirts,and even little newborn jeans:)
I'm sure Little "Z" will get tons of use out of them. I was just so touched & blessed by her kindness that I had to share.

Hubby's Prayer

This post you may not understand unless you've read my earlier post- It's A Busy Life
Last night ,Hub's and I tried to go to bed before midnight,but it wasn't meant to be. Little Bean had spent the weekend in her real home and she was off of her schedule .When we got her home at 6:30 PM, she was very clingy to me and more fussy than she has ever been.Transitioning home can be tough for little ones especially when they are very bonded to their foster parent as Little Bean is to me.
So we walked, rocked, cuddled, etc But lil Bean wanted no part of bed.
Then we have little "Z" the new little guy on our block. He has had tummy issues from day one and he is on a heart monitor and the band is uncomfortable and he HATES it. So he too was so fussy and did not want to go to sleep for us.
We finally got them to sleep around 11:40 (we thought) and we laid them both down and then laid down ourselves. But,both woke back up within minutes. Jelly Bean started making noises and Lil guy joined in. It was as if our 8 month old and 1 month old were communicating with each other. I'm sure they were saying, "Let's see if we can get up and play now"....lol
Well, Hubby and I both just laid there listening to them go on and on. Little Bean also kept pulling up in her bed bouncing and giggling. She thought it was a game...lol
Finally, we laid there and hubby and I couldn't help ,but start laughing. Hubby said, "Sandy,what were we thinking?" Then he started praying. His prayer kinda went something like this...

Dear Lord,
Thank you so much for not sending us siblings the other day. I'm so thankful that you know what we can handle and what we can't...

Sometimes you can't help but laugh. We truly are blessed to have these precious children in our home. We've just had to learn to go with the flow and know that it will get easier and sleep and schedules will come again...maybe...hopefully...someday...soon would be great...lol

Did I miss you?

Did I miss you?
When I went private with my blog,I let everyone know that I was moving blogs. I started on a new blog "Our Family Yearbook" and found that it was going to be to hard and to much work moving all the things I would want to add to my new blog,so after much thought I decided to keep using this one and set it as private. I asked everyone to send me an email with their email address so that I could send them an invitation. During this same time, my dell crashed and I lost "ALL' my emails, because my emails were going straight to incredimail instead of being stored with bellsouth...(BIG MISTAKE) So I lost ALL my contacts and all email sent before October. If I already added you( when my blog was private) then I've got your info. If not, and you want to continue reading my blog then please send it again and the link to your blog. My email address- mom2five@bellsouth.net
However, at this time I am ONLY adding people with blogs, so that I can better keep up with who is reading my blog...sorry:) I'm sorry if I upset any of you by my move. I sure never meant to. Please remember the author behind this blog "Me" is only human.((hugs))

Our Pumpkin & Pumpkin Prayer

The Pumpkin Prayer
~~~~~~
Dear God,
As I carve my pumpkin help me say this prayer;
Open my mind so I can learn about you.
(cut the top of the pumpkin)
Take away all my sin and forgive me
for the wrong things I do.
(clean out the inside)
Open my eyes so your love I will see;
(cut the eyes in the shape of hearts)
I'm so sorry for turning up my nose to all you've given me.
(cut the nose in the shape of the cross)
Open my ears so your word I will hear.
(cut the ears in a rectangle like the shape of the Bible)
Open my mouth so I can tell others You're near
(cut the mouth in the shape of a fish)
Let your light shine in all I say and do!
In Jesus name.~Amen
(Place a candle inside and light it up)
Matthew 5-14-16
Ye are the light of the world.
A city that is set on a hill can not be hid.
Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel,
but on a candle stick;and it giveth light unto all
that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
It's been a great season!
Well, today was the last regular game of the season for us. I'm sad to see this season end ,but it has been a great year. Jacob has had a great team and he has made many new friends this year.
Here are a few fun pics from today...
My Little Man's pink socks.
The team shed their red socks
and wore pink today for
breast cancer awareness.
In pic below...#3 is my lil guy.
He had just made an awesome play and he was so excited.
He wanted to know if his daddy & I saw him:)
We did and we were so very proud of him.
We made into the playoffs this year,
so we will start that next week.
Way to go SP Bears!!!!!!
It's A Busy Life
Hubby holding Jelly Bean and Brookelyn.
This picture cracks me up.
I had gotten a call for three fosters. A 2 year old and his one month old lil sister(siblings)
and another baby... A 1 month old baby boy. The state asked was I able to take any of them. I said I could either take the siblings or the single baby. The state called me back and told me that I could come and pick up baby "Z"(The single baby). So I handed Hubby Jelly Bean so I could get ready & then our little grand Brookelyn wanted Paw Paw too(she was jealous) so he was holding both of them at the same time. I told hubby that we were getting the single baby instead of siblings and his exact words were,"Aww...is that all?" and " I wanted the siblings".... LOL
Katie,Ashley,and me all busted out laughing.
He really looks like he could handle a few more.
he he he
I'd say his hands are pretty full...mine too:)
~~~~~
Fun pics from this week...
Pictured below is Brookelyn & Jelly Bean playing with their little friend Hailey.
She came to play on Friday and Brookelyn loved that she can walk too.
They are just toooooo sweet.
Our house is a wild house at times.
and it feels like a play house too:)
But we do have a few calm moments here & there.
~~~~~
Jacob is doing soooooo good in grade three.
I'm so proud of my little man.
As you can tell,
We don't have a very strict dress code in our homeschool:)
How I spend my day...
This is the Wee Pack.
They are my day care kids.
They are all growing up so very fast.
Two of them are about to turn four years old (Lacy & Samantha).
Samantha also started prek so she only comes three days now.
Another, (Miss Emma) just found out she is going to be a big sister.
Miss Jada comes part time too and just started dancing classes.
I have watched these four little girls go from diapers to potty trained.
Bottles to big girl cups.
Coos to talking and lots of giggling.
They have been a blessing and so have their familes.
Yes, I have a busy life ,but I can't imagine it any other way.
Update on Baby "Z"
Just stopping by with an update on Baby "Z"...
He is adjusting pretty good to his life here.
For those that don't know, we have a new foster baby
in our home. He has been here for 3 nights, so far.
We think he is around one month old, but not for sure,
because I haven't gotten a birth date yet.
He is the cutest little boy.
He has the tiniest little nose & ears.
He is about 9 pounds and not sure on length.
We are not sure how long he will be with us,
because they are looking for any family members
 that can take him.
I'm trying to learn his schedule, likes, and dislikes
and adjusting to no sleep.
Little "Z" has been a wee bit fussy,but I'm sure that's
because he is trying to adjust to all these changes.
Please keep our lil "Z" and us in your prayers.
A few more fall pics...
I have a few more fall pics to share...
Last weekend we made a little
hay/pumpkin scene for fall.
I thought it would be cute for pictures
and you know, I LOVE PICTURES.
The first Pic is my beautiful daughter
Katie (My middle daughter)
In the second pic is my beautiful
baby girl Ashley.
She just got her drivers license last week!
Way to go Miss Ashley!!!!!!
In pic #3 is Ashley with her best friend Tiffany.
Tiffany grew up with Ashley and is like my daughter.
I babysat her for several years starting at age 3 weeks old...
So she is extra special too.
So what else do we have going on here in Howellville???? Well, Corey & Anna are moving in their new house this weekend. They found a house that is only about 4 minutes from us,which will be much easier on Anna dropping Brookelyn off before work. They are super excited and I'm happy for them.
Last week, Hubs & I had to take of CPR & first aid class for fostering. It's that dreaded time of year again...re-certification...grrrr So we figured we would knock as many hours off as possible from our required classes/hours. We will have our home study next month...yuck!!!!
Yesterday, we welcomed home our 18th foster child. A precious newborn baby boy that we will refer to as sweet baby Z or Lil Z. He is so tiny and so very adorable. We are LOVING having a little boy around. It's been a looooong time since we had a new baby boy and he is our very first infant boy foster child. We aren't sure how long he will be with us,but we sure are enjoying his cuddles and coos and little clothes of blue:) I can't wait to go shopping for him.
Our lil Bean had her 8 month check-up. She is now almost 13 pounds. She is doing great. She also got her flu shot...bless her heart,but she didn't even cry. She is such a tough tiny girl. She has two teeth now and trying to talk.
Brookelyn had her 9 month check-up and her doctor was very pleased. She says Brookelyn is very advanced for a nine month old. Brookelyn was in the 70th percentile in her weight & head measurements and 90th in height. She two has two teeth...on the bottom:)
My parents were in an accident on Sunday and totaled my dad's truck. They are both fine. They were really shook up ,but had no injuries...PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!! A man driving a truck wasn't looking and slammed them in the side. He too was okay.
Lil man had his football homecoming. He was so excited. I already posted a few pics if you look below. He escorted his little friend Abby Reed.
Well, I guess that's it because it's all that comes to mind. All three babies (Bookie, Lil Bean, and Baby Z) are sleeping so I think I'm going to try to lay down myself...I'm sooooo tired. Having a new baby to get up wih every two hours will wear you out.  I had just gotten Lil Bean good at sleeping through the night and now I've got to try to get Little Z on a schedule.
Anyhow, have a great rest of the week and keep us in your prayer.
Hugs & Blessings,
Our Sweet Bailey
Happ Birthday Hubby!!!!!
My Hubby just celebrated his 40th birthday!
Can you believe that?I can't...lol
40 is such a big number &
proof that we are getting old...lol
He enjoyed a PB cup icecream cake
from Dairy Queen...we love those things:)
He got showered with gifts,cards, and lots of love.
However, his most favorite thing he got was a
homemade card that our daughter Ashley made for him.
It really blessed his heart.
(You can click to enlarge)
Hubby had a wonderful birthday:)
