Things are starting to calm down around here. Christmas 2007 has came and gone. It was a wonderful Christmas.
We still have our Christmas tree up ,but I hope to get it taken down before New Years. I love when my home is decorated during Christmas ,because it feels so cozy.
It's sad when the decorations come down ,because then it looks so empty.
Jacob got his long awaited Nike shoxs. He has begged for months for a pair after seeing Grant with some on. He was content with the fake ones from Walmart until Grant informed him those were not real shoxs. It was really funny because my Hubby had told Santa to bring the kids a dirt bike (even though I really did not like the idea). My hubby was so excited and couldn't wait for Jacob to get up Christmas morning to see the dirt bike in our living room. Jacob did get up and he came running through the house. He didn't pay any attention to the dirt bike he just tore open the package with his long awaited Nike Shox. He was so excited. He has only taken them off to go to bed and to get baths. He loves his shoes. Before Christmas, Jacob had made his wish list for Santa and 1st on the list was his shoxs. He ask me, "Mama what size shoes do I wear?" I told him size 13.5 or size 1. He said,"Can you tell Santa to bring me shoes in a size 3 or 4?" and I said, Why so big? He said, "So I can wear them for a few years". I thought that was sweet. He also got one of those little tikes digital cameras for little kids and the first several pictures are of his shoes posed in all ways...to funny!!!!!
The middle girls got new bedroom things. New bedspreads, curtains, pillows, wall hangings, etc. So they have been busy decorating their rooms.
Jon got a nintendo DS and games that he had wanted for so long and the metal garbage can with the foot opener. So he thinks he's cool now...lol He doesn't have to lift the lid to throw his trash away...lol
Anna, has been so busy working. She started working a seasonal job at kmart and she hates it. She has missed the last few Sundays at church and she has been upset about that. When she took the job they assured her that she wouldn't have to work any Sunday mornings ,but she has been. She is trying to find a new place to work so please keep her in your prayers.
Little Bailey...what can I say??? She is the most amazing little baby in the whole world. She seldom is fussy and is always content. She smiles at everyone and is so friendly. She is growing like a little weed. I took her to her doc about two weeks ago and she was over 13 pounds. but in the last two weeks she started eating more and has gotten so chubby. She is a precious little girl. She got one of those bumbo seats for Christmas and when she sets in it she looks like a little frog about to hop. She thinks she is big when she is in it.
Now hubby, he spoiled me this year...or should I say he spoiled us. He bought me a new computer and I am so happy .
It has the new Windows Vista instead of xp, so it may take me awhile to get use to it. We are going wireless and we are putting the old computer back in the girls room and the new one will take its place on my desk top. My hubby has never used a computer ,but in the last couple of months he took up intrest in it. So on Christmas he said he really bought the computer for himself ,but put my name on it so I wouldn't feel left out...so thoughtful:)

Well, I guess I should be getting off from here. I am planning to work on my family site and I'm trying to find some cute winter graphics that don't look like Christmas decorations. I plan to update my site today, because it really needs it. Anyhow, stop by and visit my site and leave me a note in my guestbook.
Hugs, sandy

Update...

Sorry it has taken so long to update. We have been so very busy these last couple of months. I really don't know where to begin so I'll just highlight the important stuff...
*We celebrated Thanksgiving with our families. It was a blessing to see my Mom and Grandmother feeling better.
*On Nov 25, we had the Sullivan family reunion. We had a lot of illness in the family so not many got to show, but it was still a blessing!
*We started off December with Anna's 18th birthday on the 2nd!!!! Wow, my baby is grown.
*Ashley got her top braces off after nearly three years and she is so happy about that.
*We still have our precious foster baby girl,but we are not for sure for how much longer we will have her. She may go live with a relative soon. I ask you all to pray for her. I just want what is best for our baby and I'm really worried about the decisions being made. The decisions being made today will impact her whole future and I'm heavy hearted about it. Just keep us in your prayers, because it will be so hard letting her go after all this time...not only on us ,but on her too.
*On the 13th we celebrated Kylee's 3rd birthday at Monkey Joe's. Jacob and Bailey really enjoyed it! Kylee will have her actual birthday on Christmas.
*We had dinner with Santa on Friday the 14th in Dallas. We took some really sweet pictures with Santa. I'll try to get those added to our family site for all to see. It was alot of fun seeing all our fostering friends and their adorable foster children. The ruritans done a great job!
*The kids are all excited about the Holidays. They are all growing up so fast and I know this may be the last year that all of them will be at home together for Christmas.
*As for the rest of this month, we will be busy with the Holidays. We will have three family get togethers over the next few days.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would like to take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We wish you all the best and hope you all have a safe and blessed Holiday season and please remember *JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON*and please never put "X" (x-mas) in place of Christ. For with out Christ you can't have Christmas.
God bless you all, Sandy
